Tucker Carlson

Tucker Carlson is an American Conservative Journalist, Best-Selling Author and Multi-Media Commentator. Tucker McNear Carlson was born in San Francisco, California on May 16, 1969, to Lisa and Dick Carlson, and is of English, German and Swiss-Italian Ancestry. Tucker attended boarding school at St. George’s School in Middleton, Road Island and furthered his education at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History.

Tucker Carlson began his professional career in journalism working for the Policy Review, as well as writing for several publications such as the Arkansas Democrat- Gazette, The Weekly Standard, The New York Magazine, Reader's Digest, Esquire, Slate, The New Republic, The New York Times Magazine, The Daily Beast, and The Wall Street Journal.

Tucker Carlson began his Television career in 2001, when he became the Co-Host for the CNN Television Program ‘Crossfire’ and in 2004, hosted ‘Tucker Carlson: Unfiltered’ on PBS. In 2005 Tucker left both the CNN and PBS programs to host the ‘Tucker’ show on MSNBC until 2008. Tucker’s Multi-Media career continued to grow, and in 2009, he began appearing regularly on several Fox News programs as a political analyst. Tucker Carlson also Co-Founded ‘The Daily Caller’ news and opinion website in 2010, until selling his interest in the company in 2020. Tucker became a Fox News Contributor in 2009 appearing on several Fox News Programs; produced and hosted the 2010 special ‘Fighting For Our Children’s Minds’; and in 2013, became a Co-Host of ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’.

In 2016, the ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ program was launched by Fox News, with over 3.7 million viewers on its premiere episode and becoming the most watched telecast of the year during that time slot. Tucker’s show was moved to the 9:00pm timeslot in 2017, receiving an average of 2.8 million viewers per night, catapulting his show, into ranking as the number two program in all of cable news programming. After the cancellation of the ‘O’Reilly Factor’ program in April of 2017, “Tucker Carlson Tonight’ was moved to the 8:00pm time slot, where he remains today and continues to be one of the top ranking shows in all of cable news. In 2021, Tucker Carlson began hosting a weekly podcast and two new series on Fox Nation called ‘Tucker Carlson Originals’ and ‘Tucker Carlson Today.”
